"Lasagna Gardening" shows methods of creating richer, more week-free soil by creating layers of soil-enriching nutrients using newspaper, vegetable leftovers, compost, etc. I was amazed at how well my vegetables grew from the very first season. Any my beneficial worm population was incredible.
