One of the greatest things about joining a community such as Vancouver Food Cooperative are the people you meet and the things you learn. VFC is moving into the next stage and needs the skills and talents of its membership, volunteers, and public partners. There is a spot for everyone and everyone for a spot so take a few minutes to look at the list and see where your unique talents can best be used. Don't see a topic but want to help out, give us a holler and we can find something for your skills. Thank you for your time, energy, and support of Vancouver Food Cooperative.
Please contact a current board member if you are interested in being a board member, or know an owner-member you think would be an asset to the VFC Board. This is a volunteer position for folks ready to work to support the VFC vision.
Volunteers are needed to expand store hours. Day and Evening shifts are available. For tspecific shift times and dates, contact Shawn Morrill, VFC Store Manager: firstname.lastname@example.org
Great with the public and comfortable talking about VFC? We have some fantastic outreach events coming up. Contact us for available shifts.
With many outreach events coming up it's time to update the look of the VFC booth and tabletop displays. Design and implementation of a 10'x10' booth space as well as a 6' table display are desired. Signage for the store, nametags, store displays, etc. are also needed. Come with your ideas!
Do you have a background in marketing and promotion? Have you worked for your church, PTA, or other organization? Design and implement promotional materials, displays, websites, interact with press, social networking, local businesses, and build new partnerships.
Great with computers, websites, databases, data entry, and hardware and software systems? We need your support!
Lawyer? Carpenter? Accountant? Office Manager? Chef? Grant Writer? We appreciate your expertise and welcome the skills and professional services you are able to provide.
No matter the skill level, available time, or restrictions, Non-profit co-op organizations are dependent on their member-owners and volunteers. Two hours a month helps VFC become stronger and able to provide a greater variety of fresh, healthy food, support the local economy, and provide a needed service in the community. VFC needs your help to make these things happen.
As always, thank you for taking the time to support your Vancouver Food Cooperative. It is owners and public like you that make it work.
