We oversee communications with co-op members, as well as plan member group activities, such as the picnic held August 2, 2009. The mission of the newly revitalized membership committee is to oversee care of, and communications with, Vancouver Food Cooperative members for the benefit of VFC.
Currently we are working on the 2010 Annual Membership picnic. (Watch the website for dates and details.) Other work includes putting together a welcome kit for new members, and getting more information on the interests and talents of all VFC members to encourage their involvement in the co-op. Watch for requests for specific volunteer activities posted on the home page, and in the VFC newsletter—or if what we've described above interests you, please email
membership@vancouverfood.coop.
The membership committee meets monthly, however at this time we do not have a regular schedule. Please email us or leave a message at the VFC office (360-694-8094) if you are would like to attend a meeting.
