[Secretary] Greta Lavadour -
My background is in Urban Planning and Natural Resource Management, and I am currently a planner for a consulting firm in Downtown Vancouver. I volunteer with several groups that promote local food production, and also food access for underserved areas and populations of Clark County. Having a member-owned Cooperative Grocery store in Vancouver is an essential part of ensuring our community’s food security. The Co-op will increase the viability of local farms, while providing consumers access to nutritious, locally produced foods. I'm very excited become of part of our Co-op’s progress!
Don Orange -
I own a small business in Vancouver and believe in environmentally friendly services, products and living. I was involved with Friends & Food Co-Op in Portland in the 70’s where we bought food from wholesale houses and focused on educating the public on farm issues. I’ve worked for the United Farm Workers union helping with the Grape Boycott to improve working conditions. Since 2003 I’ve been the owner of Eco Auto & Tire where we focus on best practices and being environmentally conscious. I’m confident that my experience with starting up several businesses will serve the Board well. I believe that where you live is how you vote and where you spend your money. A co-op in Vancouver matches well with my sustainable lifestyle and way of doing business.

I have resided in Vancouver since 2006 and work as a social worker. My interest in local and organic food goes back to 1992 with the birth of my first child. My wife and I discovered that such options were incredibly helpful in coping with her food allergies. We became involved in a local CSA, shopped at a local coop and worked toward continued good health. Our three children have experienced these benefits and hopefull have also become convinced of the merits of healthy eating. Making the coop a reality would go a long way towards giving others the option of a healthy lifestyle as well. I would like to be part of that endeavor.
