| ReStore OPEN in Clark County | March 13, 2009 @ 8:04pm | The Habitat for Humanity ReStore opened on Tuesday – at 5000 Fourth Plain Blvd. (at the corner of General Anderson) in the Vancouver Market Center (just west of the Albertsons). You can read more about it at: http://columbian.com/article/20090310/BIZ01/703109982
The ‘soft’ opening has gone even better than expected, so more building/home remodeling products are needed immediately. If you have a chance this weekend to gather up some things and/or let your business associates and neighbors know of this need, the donations can be dropped off at the back of the ReStore. Many of the products/materials they stock are new from stores such as Lowes, Fred Meyer, Parr Lumber, etc. but items from your updated projects are also welcome. The proceeds from the sale of the products benefit Habitat for Humanity and the products you donate can help upgrade some of the lower income homes in Vancouver. So please look around this weekend and see what you can donate rather than put in a dumpster. For the store to be successful word must get out that this is a great place to take those products that you are no longer using – light fixtures, left over materials, windows, etc. They do take some furniture as well. Oh and one more thing – cash donations are appreciated as well.
If you have questions, please contact Joe Connell at 503.209.8236 (jconnell@pdxrestore.org).
Thanks for your support with this exciting project for Clark County – if you can’t donate anything, you can always stop by and shop!! I hope you will encourage support for the ReStore – it’s been about 2 years in the works!
P.S. The CREAM program also operates out of the same location – they do computer recycling so check them out too!
