Newsletter doubles up as site goes down!!
or, how people and technology come together!
 Posted: February 2nd, 2009 @ 2:58am
The VFC newsletter, which you just received, covers both January and February because of holidays, overlapping events, and the nature of volunteer time. If you missed it, the archive copy is located HERE.
Webteam does want to extend a SORRY for the downtime that the site has experienced on and off for the past few days. We believe that the problem is sorted out, and we should not be offline again (hopefully!)
We also wanted to draw you attention to a few upcoming features on the site. We are launching a quick poll system to gather input about community preferences. We are asking for you to bring your news and community events to the forums. And, we hope to be launching the picture galleries so that you can enjoy seeing yourselves in action! If any of you have pictures of locally focused, food related, farm related, or cooperative related events, we would love to show them off for you! Once the gallery is running, you will be able to upload the images yourself, or you can always send them through to webteam
Finally, we are putting out another request for our community to step up and tell us what your experiences with cooperatives have been in the past. Did you grow up going to a co-op? Did you accidentally find one while walking along one day? We want to know, so visit the forums and share your thoughts! There are many people in Vancouver who still are unsure why cooperatives are a great and integral part of the community!
